Misguided Spirits Bathhouse John's Well Dressed Gin is inspired by a type of gin that was popular in the era of iniquity and corruption, in the colorful, organized crime-run nightlife scene of Prohibition-era Chicago. The gin popular during the Roaring '20s wiseguys Chicago was actually light on juniper and heavy on lavender, with citrus figuring fairly prominently, also, and some other botanical that gives the final product a bit of racy spiciness.

Misguided Spirits is a collection of service industry veterans providing an employee-owned alternative to global spirits companies. The name comes from terminology used to describe people in earlier times who lived life on their own terms and shaped the world around them by building a community, giving them a voice, a purpose, and a good stiff drink. A 750ml bottle of Plymouth Sloe Gin (26% abv). Sloe berries are slowly and gently steeped in Plymouth Gin, soft pure Dartmoor water and a small amount of sugar for approximately 4 months.

The sugar levels are kept low to allow the full flavour of the berries to shine and allow the dry acidity of the fruit to be an important part of the taste. The result is an entirely natural product with no added flavourings or colourings. Sloe Gin has long been enjoyed as a ’winter warmer’ in the countryside.

Producer Description 

Gin flavored with handpicked juniper berries from its Hamptons estate, cardamom, cumin, coriander, fennel and anise. The most eye-catching detail about this spirit is definitely its trendy pink color, which winemaker and partner Roman Roth gets by using the vineyard's rosé wine as the base for the gin. Once the rosé is distilled, Roth adds a small amount of grape skin extract to get that subtle pink color.

Old Raj gin has been produced for us since 1972 and is available at 46% and 55% abv. Bottling takes place in Campbeltown. This quality floral gin has a slight yellow tint due to the addition of the saffron. This valuable and rare ingredient is added post distillation.

• The firm of William Cadenhead Limited, Wine and Spirit Merchants, was founded in 1842 and was in the ownership of the same family until it was taken over by the well known Campbeltown firm of J & A Mitchell & Co. Ltd who own Springbank Distillery. The premises were in Netherkirkgate in Aberdeen and although the street numbers were changed from time to time the premises were the same and indeed were almost unaltered during their 130 years of trading in Aberdeen.
