Though a relatively new domaine, founded in 1979, Faury is rooted in traditions generations old. Under Philippe Faury's guidance, the winery has expanded to its current 17ha of vineyards, nearly all so steep that they must be terraced. Both Philippe and his son Lionel carry out backbreaking work to ensure the vineyards are perfectly cared for. 

The Faurys eschew new oak in large quantity, and fermentation is carried out only by foot pigeage.

Black fruits, olives, and violets leap from the glass with this wine. On the palate this is filled with dark, rich blue and blackberry fruit with elements of black olive, dried herbs, and tapenade.

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Tempranillo aged in stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness and acidity. Bright red fruits on the nose and an angular, lively, light to medium body on the palate. A perfect wine for those who like zippy accessible reds whose function seems to be to constantly keep the tongue stimulated.

Jeb Dunnuck 94 Points | The 2022 Gigondas Racines (75% Grenache and the rest Syrah and Cinsault) was mostly destemmed and spent 14 months in foudre. Coming from slightly lower elevation parcels (just beside the estate) and older vines, it's slightly deeper ruby-hued and has a meaty bouquet of black cherries, melted licorice, tapenade, and peppery garrigue. This carries to a more structured, medium to full-bodied, concentrated Gigondas that's going to benefit from 2-4 years of bottle age.

The Wine Spectator 93 Points | An elegant red, boasting cherry, raspberry, floral and mineral aromas and flavors. Firm, with a dry edge to its tannins as this builds to the long finish. Our Ryder Estate Merlot is savory, ripe and velvety. Black fruit and blueberry
aromas lead into flavors of ripe plum and raspberry with vanilla notes.

James Suckling 96 Points | A round and juicy red with berry, cherry, mushroom and wet-earth character on both the nose and palate. It’s full-bodied with integrated tannins that are soft and luscious. Long, flavorful finish. Drinkable now, but better in two or three years.

Intense and dark cherry-red color, with a high robe and ruby red edges. Clean and bright. Highly intense aromas with abundant notes of fruit. Its notes of red and black fruit (prunes, figs, cherries, redcurrant and raspberries) are released along with flower notes and mixed with nice spicy and light toasted nuances.

High load of fruit aromas dominate the palate. It is a lively and crisp, medium-bodied red wine. It shows a light astringency provided by its marked tannins and a good acidity that provides it with deepness. Long and persistent finish.

Beautiful ruby red in color, with distinctive aromas of ripe plum, blackberry, blackcurrant but also leather and sweet violet. Full-bodied in the mouth but never tiring, silky tannin and lingering taste reminiscent of licorice and coffee.

The Gelin family invested in a larger, more efficient winery, which was upgraded and ready for the 2011 harvest. “The new winery allows us more flexibility during harvest, as well as the technology to increase wine quality,” says Pierre-Emmanuel. The wines of Domaine Pierre Gelin have always been de-stemmed with a long cuvaison of 8-10 days and a judicious use of oak. Only indigenous yeasts are used for fermentation which takes place in stainless-steel and oak tanks. Malolactic fermentation occurs in barrel and the wines are aged for 20-24 months in varying percentages of new oak: up to 80% new oak for the Grand Cru, and 25% new for the premier crus. They use older barrels for village wines.

Tinto Rey means Red King. Tempranillo is the king of Spanish red wines, the most important varietal in our Matchbook Vineyard and the foundation of this unique Tempranillo/Syrah blend. 

The aromas of our 2022 Tinto Rey are pure Spain in a glass: dark chocolate and earth and dusty cellar. The flavors are dense and complex with cedar and mocha layered over dried blueberry, poached fig and baking spices. A hint of eucalyptus hangs in the background. The finish is smooth with a balanced grip of tannins; silk with a backbone. This full-bodied red wine will pair well with the best cuts of meat.

International Wine Report - 95 points - The IV Montem Soils series is a special bottling of 7 different wines chosen from the 12 acres of the Fidelitas Estate to showcase the highest quality wines of the vintage. A blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Petit Verdot, 20% Merlot, and 5% Cabernet Franc makes up the 2021 IV Montem Soils Red Wine from Fidelitas. Pouring a brooding deep purple core with a fluorescent purple rim, this tight-young wine has a ton of promise in the glass. Bountiful notes of black plums, black and red currants, tobacco leaf, cassis, sweet tangerine zest, dried mountain sage, eucalyptus, and sweet clove. The Wine Advocate 90 Points | Made up of 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot, 3% Syrah and 1% Cabernet Franc, the Salvestrin  Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley has a deep garnet-purple color and nose of cassis, earth, red and black cherries, sage and tobacco. The palate is medium to full-bodied and chewy with an herbal lift....Salvestrin can boast multiple generations farming its vineyards since 1932, so this is by no means a newcomer to the Napa Valley wine scene.
