Binyamina | Chardonnay Reserve | Galilee | Israel | 2023 | Kosher | Mevushal
Binyamina is one of Israel's most established and respected wineries, founded in 1952 in the town of the same name at the foot of Mount Carmel. The Reserve range represents the estate's commitment to producing varietally expressive, terroir-driven wines from Israel's finest growing regions. The 2023 Chardonnay Reserve is sourced from the Galilee — Israel's premier wine region, where the elevated terrain, cool nights and Mediterranean climate create ideal conditions for producing fresh, structured white wines with genuine complexity and aging potential.
The wine is vinified with careful attention to preserving the natural freshness and aromatic character of the Chardonnay grape, with judicious oak aging adding texture, depth and a subtle creamy richness without overwhelming the fruit. The result is a well-balanced, food-friendly Chardonnay that reflects both the warmth of the Israeli sun and the cooling influence of the Galilee's altitude.
The nose opens with aromas of ripe peach, golden apple, citrus and white flowers, with hints of vanilla, toasted oak and a touch of honey. The palate is medium-bodied and well structured, with flavors of stone fruit, lemon curd and subtle spice, balanced by fresh acidity and a smooth, lingering finish. Kosher and Mevushal, making it suitable for all kosher occasions.
Serve at 48–52°F. Pairs beautifully with roast chicken, veal escalope in lemon sauce, grilled fish, light pasta with cream sauce, fragrant hard cheeses such as Gruyère or Pecorino, and the classic dishes of the Shabbat and holiday table.

The wine has a shade of golden yellow with an exceptionally rich aroma. The palate distinguishes complex and distinct flavors of refreshing citrus, peach, ripe melon and vanilla with an elegant, multi-layered textural balance.
Enjoy with many cuisines, it is best paired with European classics such as veal escalope in a lemon sauce. It is also great with fragrant hard cheeses such as Gruyere or Pecorino.
The vineyard is located in a cool climate with low humidity throughout the ripening season. These conditions help protect the grapes from disease and allow for complete ripening of the grapes while maintaining a particularly high standard of freshness and aroma.
