Producer Description 

Our 2023 Sauvignon Blanc has aromas of grapefruit, lime zest, white flowers, white peach, lemon grass, and orange peel. On the palate are aromas of pineapple, guava, tropical fruit, Asian pear, candied lemon, and green melon. The wine has a bright acidity and wonderful texture on the mid-palate.

 While the core of this wine is Sauvignon Blanc, the Musqué, Sémillon, and Viognier add a lot of floral notes and viscosity to this vintage. We captured these wonderful floral notes by fermenting each variety separately in concrete eggs, stainless steel drums, and tanks.

The French oak barrels, in which 10% of the wine aged in, were very lightly toasted to preserve the delicate fruity aromas and provide a creamy texture to the mid-palate of the wine.

Old Raj gin has been produced for us since 1972 and is available at 46% and 55% abv. Bottling takes place in Campbeltown. This quality floral gin has a slight yellow tint due to the addition of the saffron. This valuable and rare ingredient is added post distillation.

• The firm of William Cadenhead Limited, Wine and Spirit Merchants, was founded in 1842 and was in the ownership of the same family until it was taken over by the well known Campbeltown firm of J & A Mitchell & Co. Ltd who own Springbank Distillery. The premises were in Netherkirkgate in Aberdeen and although the street numbers were changed from time to time the premises were the same and indeed were almost unaltered during their 130 years of trading in Aberdeen.

Producer Description 

Sweet and bitter oranges are grown and harvested directly on Caffo properties then carefully blended with an infusion made of several herbs and spices: with juniper, rhubarb and gentian as the most recognizable.

The distinctive, bitter flavor of the Calabrian Chinotto orange and cinchona can be easily recognized. Ideal for Negroni cocktail or spritz, Caffo Red Bitter can be used in any recipe calling for a high quality bitter.

The top Cabernet is the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Dancing Bear Ranch, which comes all from the Howell Mountain AVA. It's another inky colored beauty boasting a terrific perfume of black and blue fruits, ground herbs, spice box, graphite, and forest floor. With brilliant minerality on the palate as well as full-bodied richness and an expansive, opulent texture, it has sweet tannins and is approachable today, yet will benefit from short-term cellaring and cruise for 25-30 years. Bottled only three weeks ago, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Dancing Bear Ranch is composed of 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc and 1% Merlot, having spent 22 months in 60% new French oak. Very deep garnet-purple in color, it reveals beautiful notions of kirsch, red and black currant preserves, raspberry pie and warm plums with hints of red roses, stewed tea, underbrush and cinnamon stick. Medium-bodied, the palate has wonderful red fruit and floral intensity intermingled with black fruits, framed by firm, grainy tannins and a wicked backbone of freshness, finishing very long and mineral laced. The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Dancing Bear ranch is a gorgeous Howell Mountain red. Succulent black cherry, plum, licorice, spice, new leather, rose petal and blood orange all run through this deep, resonant, unctuous Cabernet Sauvignon from Cakebread. Calera Chardonnay — Central Coast 2023

In 1975, Josh Jensen founded Calera high in the Gavilan Mountains — naming it after the Spanish word for "lime kiln" — and spent decades proving that California's Central Coast could produce world-class wine. The 2023 growing season was exceptional — a long wet winter, delayed budbreak, and a mild extended summer gave the fruit an extra month to ripen, achieving rare harmony between acidity and concentration.

The nose shows toasted almond, citrus pith, lemon zest, apricot, and delicate orange blossom. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with a rounded, grainy texture — golden apple, pineapple, and tangerine are framed by bright, focused acidity and a touch of wet stone minerality. Smoke, tar, and char on the nose along with stewed plums, blackberries, and figs. The palate is softer on the tongue than the nose might suggest. Berries and figs come through with a little black pepper and cinnamon. Woody tannins settle into the sides of the tongues and linger a little with a background of umami. Pair with game meats, bbq, honeyed hams, and dark chocolate.

All five malts from the region’s three distilleries have been used to produce this Blended Malt. An unmistakable Campbeltown whisky: Initial notes of butterscotch, toffee apples and salted caramel give way to reveal more complexity with traditional maritime and spice notes combined with a subtle touch of peat smoke.

Matured in a combination of Ex-Bourbon and Ex-Sherry casks, vatted and bottled at Springbank Distillery, Campbeltown. 

Campeador Rioja Reserva — Rioja, Spain 2020

Campeador is a name rooted in Spanish heritage — a tribute to El Cid, the legendary Castilian knight whose title "El Campeador" meant champion and master of military arts. The Rioja Reserva lives up to that name: a classically structured, age-worthy red built from an equal blend of Tempranillo and Garnacha, with Graciano adding depth and aromatic complexity. Aged to Reserva standards in oak and bottle, the 2020 vintage delivers the kind of rich, nuanced Rioja that rewards patience and pairs beautifully with the table.

The nose is warm and inviting: dark cherry, blackberry, dried plum, vanilla, and cedar, with earthy undertones of leather and dried herbs from the oak aging. On the palate, the wine is medium-to-full-bodied with a supple structure, well-integrated tannins, and a long, spiced finish of red fruit, tobacco, and toasted oak. Tempranillo brings the backbone and dark fruit; Garnacha adds roundness and warmth; Graciano contributes freshness and aromatic lift. Together they create a Reserva of genuine character and depth.

James Suckling 92 Points | Currant, blueberry and violet aromas follow through to a medium body with firm, fine tannins that give the wine form and focus. Chocolate and hazelnut emerge in the undertones. Drink or hold.

The beginning of this legacy is born from the red Earth of Jesus Maria, in the highlands of Jalisco, among abundant fields of blue agave and the vision on Don Ricardo Lopez, who thanks to his passion for work and dedication from many years, has made Casa Campo Azul a reference in the art of making tequila of the highest quality.

1940 is a very important year for us. It was the year of the birth of our founder, Don Ricardo Lopez, who decided to venture into the world of tequila, inheriting all of his father’s knowledge about the growing and caring of agave azul in his hometown Jesus Maria, Jalisco in the highland’s region.

The process begins when new plants (plant shoots) born from the mother plant are extracted and planted in a new field where they will grow and develop for 7-8 years before finally being harvested. The agave is cooked in an ancestral type of masonry oven for 30 hours in direct contact with steam and continues cooking for another 24 hours for clow cooking down and rest on the pina.

This slow cooking of the agave heads ensures a uniform cooking of the plant that gives the beverage more complex aromas and flavors.

From there the agave is milled and fermented for 78 hours until the fermentation reaches the desired richness, then double distilled in stainless steel stills.

The Reposado is aged in American white oak barrels in our cellar.

Forbes Magazine: This is an exceptionally smooth Cognac. Matured for four years. On the nose, it offers up rich floral aromas of violet, jasmine, roses, white flowers and peonies, along with intense fruity notes of sweet caramel apples, honey and both fresh and dried fruit, especially prune, peach and apricot, along with Sauterne like notes of golden raisin and fig, as well as some passion fruit and a touch of vanilla. There is also an earthy, black tea like quality in the background, and a hint of waxiness.

Recently, Camus, the largest of the family owned Cognac producers, released a new addition to its core range of Cognacs—labeled Intensely Aromatic. The Cognacs were the culmination of a two-decade long effort to craft Cognacs that are notably more aromatic and flavorful than the norm.

Camus’ Cognacs have always had a reputation for being particularly aromatic. To further enhance that character Camus developed a proprietary distillation protocol, which it calls “Intensity,” that measurably increases the concentration of terpenes and esters in their Cognac, producing what the company describes as an “instant of intensity.”

Terpenes are a large and diverse class of organic compounds, produced by a variety of plants. They are closely associated with floral aromas. Esters are chemicals produced by the interaction of alcohols and fatty acids, and are closely associated with fruity aromas.

In crafting Intensely Aromatic, the firm utilized older casks made from lightly toasted, fine grained oak. The age and toasting of the casks minimized the aroma and flavor components that were contributed by the cask wood and further enhanced the prominence of fruit and floral aromas.

Can Sumoi La Rosa Rosé — Penèdes, Catalonia 2025

Can Sumoi is one of Catalonia’s most exciting natural wine producers, farming certified organic and biodynamic vineyards in the Penèdes at 600 metres altitude on poor clay-limestone soils. La Rosa is their benchmark rosé — a blend of 60% Sumoll and 40% Xarel-lo sourced from 20 to 60-year-old vines, made with just 2 hours of skin maceration, indigenous yeast fermentation in tank, and minimal sulfur at bottling (<25mg/L). Vinous awarded the 2025 vintage 90 points.

The wine is spritzy, citrusy, and light on its feet. Pink grapefruit and white peach notes open into a soft-textured, slightly prickly palate with neatly woven acidity and a svelte, elegant frame. Winemaker Description 

Arenisca is 100% Tinta de Toro from the Paraje Los Panaderos vineyard in neighboring Benialbo (within D.O. Toro), which is among the highest elevation sites in the appellation. Grapes were hand-harvested, wild yeast fermented with 40% stem inclusion in open vats with 30 days of maceration, then raised for 11 months in used French oak barrels.

The finished wine is bottled unfiltered, and just a touch of sulfur is added at bottling.
